I'm Ramazan — the face of Expat Turkey, and someone who made this exact move himself.
I was born in Germany and spent my recent years in Switzerland. Not long ago, I moved to Turkey — drawn by the new 2026 law, but just as much by the freedom to live on my own terms, the Turkish culture and mentality, my faith, and family.
I learned the hard way what the brochures leave out: the residence permit (Ikamet) queues, the bank that says no three times, the paperwork that has to be perfect or you start over. So I built Expat Turkey to help others make the same move — and actually profit from the new law — without the friction.
